The Church Should Be Concern About Making Men Into Christ Image Than Branding - Prophet Abraham Adebayo

Prophet Abraham Adebayo, the man of God who hails from Erinle is our FACE OF SERAPH for the week, He is the convener of Path of the Father Conference and Grace for All Men International. SeraphStories had an engaging interview with the prophet of God with depth insight in God's word.

Can we meet you sir?
I'm Abraham Adebayo . I'm from Erin Ile in Kwara State.
Can you give us a brief of how you became born again?
 Wow. It happened April 1997, under the ministration of Evangelist Mike Fatoki( now Jesutoki). During the yearly crusade of Blessed Ministry of C&S church Oke - Igbala, Erin Ile. It was as if I had never heard about regeneration in my life. After the message, I didn't even wait for the altar call before I jumped out to altar. From then till now, the Lord had kept me in Him.
Tell us about your ministry. How you started and the journey so far?
It is a long story o. It all started in 2008. Actually, right from age 11 when I first had an encounter that brought me into the prophetic, it became obvious that I will end up in the ministry. However, I had the plan to have my PhD in History and International Relations. I wanted a part-time ministry work. I don't like a full time ministry because I considered it an application to begging for a living. I was with C&S King's court Chapel, Victoria Island, Lagos when God spoke to me about it. I ignored it as if I heard nothing.
To cut it short, the confirmation came from more people so I agreed to what God said. I had a problem again when God told me it was Erin Ile. I told God, it is a capital NO. How can I leave Lagos the center of excellence for Erin Ile in the corner? But after six months of praying daily with vigil and 3 months of fasting, God told me, 'I cause my words in your mouth from the corner to shake the center' . So I left Lagos on the 31st of May 2008 and on the 1st of June 2008, I started the work as a lone soldier. Today, all I can say is that, the Lord has not failed us. It was an interesting one.

Were you born into the C&S fold or as time went by, you joined the C&S church?
 I was born into the fold.

What can you say about c&s church?
C&S has her story from the hill to valley and now striving for the hill.There are too many counterfeits which is an indication that there are also genuine ones. As one born into the fold, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. However, like I have said, we are striving to get back to the hill. It is possible, and we shall get there.

 What are some of the most important ideas and practices that will enhance the growth of a C&S church?
 First, we must return to the word of God as it's the only tool for making men. We should be more concern about making men into the image of Christ than branding.
We must also understand the place of quality leaders. An army of sheep led by a lion will defeat an army of lion led by a sheep. The difference is the leadership. There is the biblical standard for this. Until we return to this standard, we shall have great potentials wasting away in our local assemblies and conferences all over. The leadership is not about who has the money but who has the spirit. People follow vision not provisions. And it takes a man with the spirit of the vision to lead.
Another area we must look into is the empowering the youths. This goes beyond a structure or ability to organize them into ranks. It must be such that will be measurable in terms of spiritual, intellect and emotion. The human capital development aspect of the fold must be measurable. It is not this title and more title style that we have now. It won't and can't help us.
How do we cultivate a sense of biblical, godly community in C&S church?
Like I have said, it starts with the leadership. Whatever flows from the head will get to every part of the body. No fold can grow beyond the height of her leaders. When we have men who are made in the place of proper discipleship and that are certified to be men that are broken in leadership at all levels in the fold, then it is achievable.
We must also come to the point where we are more concern about biblical doctrines and not our dogmas. When we put these in place, very soon than we expect, godliness and biblical standards will take over our dear C&S fold. 
Is/are there any thing(s) you don't like about the C&S church as a whole? If Yes, what solutions can be proffered?
 Where do I start from? My major problem is with the many practices we uphold that are not biblical. We are so much given to temple worship that even the light of obvious biblical truths, we still hold unto them. The solution to this is to begin to see the old testament in the light of the new. We cannot continue to hold unto the shadow when the substance has come.Let us get back to the biblical truth. That is the solution.

What is your advice to the C&S youths?
 Purity is the only way to get the genuine power of God. We should run after process not platforms.Until your knowledge in the head becomes experiential, you are not a blessing to your generation. Let us be content to stay in the place of making until we thoroughly made for the Master's use. God bless C&S.

 A word for the Prophetic ministry of the church.
Until we come to understand that being gifted with prophetic gifts is different from being called into the prophetic ministry, we won't cease to have people who have no business in that ministry there. The fancy of cross girdle is not the beauty of the prophetic ministry but of purity, precision and accuracy.They must also know that they are no longer old testament prophets. They new has come. You can't be seeing seven candles and incense and sacrifices and prayer mix( Eto Adura) when the substance of all these have been brought to light. I dare say, if the prophetic ministry gets it right, revival will run in C&S fold.
