C&S Ogo Eri Ntan Onitesiwaju International Unveils Plans for 30th Anniversary, Calls for National Peace and Spiritual Renewal

The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ogo Eri Ntan Onitesiwaju International, has unveiled activities lined up for its 30th anniversary celebration, while calling on Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayer, unity, and righteous living amid the nation's challenges.

The Minister-in-Charge of the church, Senior Superintendent Apostle Prophet Damilola Stephen Adekunle, JP, made the call during a press conference held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the church's headquarters on Sallyman Shogbesan Avenue, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Describing the anniversary as a celebration of God's faithfulness over three decades, Apostle Adekunle said the milestone also represents a renewed commitment to advancing the Gospel and making a greater impact on society. He expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the ministry since its establishment in 1996, noting that its journey has been marked by divine guidance, perseverance, and countless testimonies.

Reflecting on the ministry's beginnings, Apostle Adekunle recounted how he answered God's call after completing his secondary school education, despite being born into a Muslim family. He began ministerial service under his elder brother, Prophet Moses Adekunle, in 1986, was ordained as a Prophet in 1990, and faithfully served until receiving divine instruction to establish the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ogo Eri Ntan Onitesiwaju International on November 16, 1996.

According to him, the ministry began with members of his family and four pioneering members who embraced the vision. He also recalled how God redirected the church from its initially acquired property to its present headquarters, where the ministry has continued to flourish through divine provision and the unwavering support of faithful partners.
"Everything we have witnessed over the past 30 years is a testimony to God's faithfulness. We give Him all the glory for bringing us this far and trust Him for even greater achievements in the years ahead," he said.

The church also announced a lineup of activities to commemorate the anniversary. These include an Outreach and Empowerment Programme on September 26, 2026; revival services across its branches on August 19, September 16, October 21, and November 9, 2026; a Dinner and Award Night on November 6; a Praise Night on November 12; and the Grand Anniversary Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 15, 2026.

Apostle Adekunle assured members, guests, and the general public that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of all anniversary activities.
The anniversary is themed "Greater Glory, Lasting Peace," drawn from Haggai 2:9. According to the cleric, the theme reflects the church's expectation of greater manifestations of God's glory, favour, and enduring peace in both the Church and the nation.

Speaking on the state of the nation, Apostle Adekunle acknowledged Nigeria's economic and security challenges, including insecurity, kidnapping, insurgency, and communal conflicts. Despite these concerns, he maintained that Nigeria remains a nation richly endowed with abundant human and natural resources and expressed confidence that the country can overcome its present challenges through God's intervention and responsible leadership.

He urged Christians to intensify prayers for the nation, support peace-building efforts, care for vulnerable members of society, and raise godly leaders who will promote justice, integrity, and national development.
"The Church must continue to serve as a beacon of hope by promoting reconciliation, compassion, and selfless service. Through faith and righteousness, we can contribute meaningfully to building a peaceful and prosperous nation," he stated.

Highlighting the church's contributions to its host community, Apostle Adekunle said the ministry has played a significant role in both spiritual and physical development. According to him, the church has supported road construction projects, facilitated the provision of electricity in the community, and actively participates in the Community Development Association (CDA), contributing to the overall growth and well being of the area.He also offered prayers for Nigeria, asking God to grant wisdom to the nation's leaders, strengthen its institutions, restore peace and security, and unite the country under the principles of justice and righteousness.

As the church prepares for its landmark celebration, Apostle Adekunle reaffirmed that the anniversary is not merely a celebration of years but a call to greater service, spiritual growth, and societal transformation.He encouraged Christians and Nigerians to remain law-abiding, spread messages of love, hope, and peace, and work together to build a future founded on truth, justice, and the fear of God.
