Ona Iwa Mimo Spiritual Head, Baba Aladura Ibikunle, Transitions to Glory.

Ona Iwa Mimo North American Sub-Conference has announced the passing of the Spiritual Head of Ona Iwa Mimo Worldwide, His Eminence, Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle, JP, COM.

The announcement was made in an official statement dated August 31, 2026.

According to the statement, Baba Aladura Ibikunle passed away today August 31, 2026, after 21 years of service as the Spiritual Head of Ona Iwa Mimo Worldwide.

Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle was ordained as the Supreme Head of Ona Iwa Mimo Worldwide on August 13, 2005. During his 21-year tenure, he was described as having faithfully served the Church and its members, leaving an enduring legacy through his leadership, dedication, spiritual exploits and commitment to the advancement of Ona Iwa Mimo.

The North American Sub-Conference described his transition as a significant loss to Ona Iwa Mimo, the Cherubim & Seraphim family and all those who were blessed by his life and ministry.

The statement expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the life, leadership and legacy of the late spiritual head, while praying for divine comfort for his family and strength for the leadership and entire membership of Ona Iwa Mimo.

The Church also drew comfort from the biblical assurance in Psalm 116:15: “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”
