CSMC Worldwide Appoints Elder Kassim as Acting Spiritual Father(Baba Aladura)
Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has appointed Most Senior Special Apostle Pastor Gabriel O. Kassim as the Acting Spiritual Father of the Church, with immediate effect.
The appointment was contained in an official statement dated August 20, 2026, issued by the church’s Conference Secretary General, Snr. Sr. Ap. Prophet (Dr.) Anthony Olusesan Samaye, JP, FCIHRM, MNIM, DIIHP.
According to the statement, the Board of Trustees of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) approved the appointment at its meeting held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at His Grace Vicarage, Galilee.
The church said the decision was made “in keeping with the need for continuity in the spiritual leadership and administration” of the church.
Pastor Gabriel O. Kassim, who currently serves as the Chairman of the New York District, was described by the church as a respected and dedicated servant of God whose wealth of experience, commitment and service would be invaluable in his new capacity.
The church subsequently called on all members to accord the newly appointed Acting Spiritual Father the necessary support, cooperation and respect as he assumes the responsibility.
The statement further expressed confidence that, through collective prayers, support and continued submission to the will of God, the church would remain united and steadfast in fulfilling its divine mandate.
The appointment comes as the church seeks continuity in its spiritual leadership and administration.
