Centenary Without Boundaries: C&S Unification Flags Off 100-Year Celebration.

Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has officially launched a year-long celebration to mark the 100th anniversary. The centenary events were unveiled at a world press briefing held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Seraphim Land, KM 40, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Maba, Ogun State.

Representing the Supreme Head of the church, His Eminence Prophet (Dr.) Solomon Adegboyega Alao, JPil, the church’s Secretary-General, Senior Apostle Tayo Ajose, announced the lineup of activities under the theme: “Centenary Without Boundaries.”

Elder Ajose highlighted the significant journey of the Unification Church, which officially came into being in 1999 as the central body uniting all Cherubim & Seraphim churches worldwide. Despite early divisions and doctrinal variations, the church has since harmonized its liturgy, leadership, and purpose under a single umbrella.

Founded in September 1925, the Cherubim & Seraphim Church is recognized as Africa’s first Pentecostal movement. It was established through divine inspiration given to our Patriarch and front runner, Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase, and was greatly supported by our matriarch, Captain (Dr.) Christiana Abiodun Emanuel, whose pivotal role helped shape the early identity and spiritual structure of the church.

Reflecting on this legacy, Elder Ajose emphasized that the centenary celebration would not only honor the past but also spotlight the church’s impact across spiritual, social, and national development. “Seraphs and friends of the church will be engaged in their localities through activities that reflect the values of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church,” he said.

Planned events for the centenary include: Centenary Revivals across Nigeria and in the diaspora, Seminars, lectures, and rallies in various states, Novelty football matches and sporting competitions, Courtesy visits to President Bola Tinubu, state governors, and leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), A symbolic “Walk from Ikare to Ago-Ishofin” in Lagos, retracing the missionary path of the church’s founder

Elder Ajose noted that the walk would serve as a tool for evangelism and community outreach. “We’ll be distributing tracts, preaching, and calling people to repentance, just as Baba Orimolade did,” he said. He added that the walk would be replicated simultaneously across various states along the founder’s original evangelism route.

Other key highlights of the centenary include a pictorial exhibition chronicling the church’s history, a Centenary Praise/Prophetic Night, and the commissioning of community service projects including medical outreach programs nationwide.

The year-long celebration will conclude with a Grand Finale on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, marking exactly 100 years since the establishment of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church.

In his closing remarks, Ajose called on the media and the public to join in celebrating what he described as a historic and sacred milestone. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and we invite all to share in the joy of this divine season,” he said.
