Man Quantifies Harvest Using Fruits, God Quantifies Using Souls - Pastor Elijah Adeyemo

Pastor Adeyemo is a lecturer of the Kwara State Polythenic,Ilorin who doubles as a pastor in the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District. In his sermon at the 9th Annual Harvest of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Divine Blessing Cathedral, he said harvest is symbolic to salvation and that the harvest churches celebrate in terms of fruits, God does in terms of salvation. Moreover, he emphasized that God is interested in the numbers of saved souls in the church not in all the frivolities we do. The principles of sowing and reaping according to Galatians 9:6 is also synonymous to God, He asserted.

This year’s harvest with the theme, Harvest of Conquering Faith, the man of God took the congregation through an expository journey of the scriptures. Hence, he stated that the currency spent in heaven is called Faith, God deals with men according to their faith. “What you commit into faith determines what God will vomit to you”, He quoted. He also gave an explorative meaning to the word “Harvest” from the Yoruba word which is called “IKORE” which means what you get in return. He buttressed by asking a question which says, Is God getting much return on his Investment in your life?

The clergy man said faith is a spiritual virtue not a moral virtue, it is a life you must live and a character which must be worked on. One of his nuggets says, “Before faith will defend you, you must contend for it.” It is a virtue which must be built and nurtured. You need faith to deal with the resurrected body of Christ.Men seek miracles but despise salvation. Moreso, salvation is the solution to humanity. Sin will cause God to turn his back from man but lack of faith will cause God to turn his face from a man, He stated. He said the church has become weak just because we fake the faith, and that makes the church less spiritually effective. The church has become very civilized but less spiritually effective.

Lastly, the minister of God said you don’t talk about the faith without the purification of the heart. Where God sees faith , He doesn’t have to work on purifying the heart. A heart of faith is a purified heart.
