August 7 - GIFTS AND TALENTS
Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 12:1
Now, dear brothers and sisters, regarding your question about the special abilities the Spirit gives us. I don’t want you to misunderstand this.
Core Verse: Romans 1:11
For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord.
Natural talents are abilities we are born with. These talents become evident as we grow and mature, as opportunities for their use or expression occur, and as our environment facilitates their development. It is possible that a person might never know what their natural talents are if their environment is repressive.
Spiritual gifts are God's-given of a spiritual nature for a spiritual purpose. Spiritual gift is more than man's learned ability, that God works powerfully and effectively through His teaching of the word of God for the instruction and edification of his people. This includes God enabling a man to understand and to present His Word with spiritual clarity, spiritual power and authority.

Father, help me to discover my natural talents and enable me to use my spiritual gifts to gain souls for you. Amen.
