August 11 - GIFTS AND TALENTS 5
Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 12:11
It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.
Core Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:7
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.
Excerpt from the previous message: Spiritual gifts, on the other hand, are received by a person once they have received salvation.
Another thing we should know is that spiritual talents are acquired by both the saved and the unsaved while spiritual talents are acquired only by those who receive salvation. Anyone with a family that has a talent for something can acquire such talent.
Ephesians 4:11-12
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.
The Spirit of God is the only source for spiritual gifts and without accepting Jesus Christ in true salvation, a person cannot receive spiritual gifts.
