Special Apostle George Ogunleye to be installed as the new general leader of CSMC Surulere District, May 11.

Special Apostle Pastor George Oludare Ogunleye, the newly appointed District Chairman/General Leader of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere District  will be ordained and installed on, Saturday May 11, 2024, with a Thanksgiving Service and ordination of church members on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

He was appointed to replace his predeccesor in office, the late Senior Special Apostle Prophet (Dr.) Sunday Funsho Korode, who recently joined the saint trumphiant.

At a press briefing to herald the inauguration/investiture, on Monday May 6, 2024, Pastor Ogunleye blessed the name of the Lord for making the day possible. According to him, "my appointment as the third Chairman/General Leader of the church has to do with the unity of purpose and love in the heart of both the leadership and followership of the church. I will be succeeding an icon, Senior special Apostle prophet (Dr.) Sunday Funsho Korode, who succeeded Prophet Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye." Apostle Ogunleye claimed that his assumption to this office was divine. He had, before now, served the church in various capacities as Band Coordinator General and District General Secretary."I can with all humility but boldly say that Christ has been my cornerstone and on Him I build he said. 

"The new Chairman/ General Leader promised to walk on the ancient landmark his predecessors has walked, hence his major thrust for leadership is for members to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness as stated in Matthew 6:33."
In making the inauguration/investiture worthwhile, the church has outlined series of activities for the occasion some of which included Revival Service, Meetings with Branch leaders home and abroad, Praise Service, Prayers, Dinner with newly-installed Spiritual Father and Chairman of the global church, His Eminence Prophet Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo, with an Investiture Lecture. The main event is billed for Saturday May 11, 2024, with a Thanksgiving Service and ordination of members on Sunday, May 12, 2024. 

Speaking on the state of the nation, Elder Ogunleye commended the Lagos State Government and Governor Babajide SAnwo-Olu for his developmental strides in the state. 
He also appreciated the efforts of the state government in securing lives and properties, from man-made and environmental hazards across the state. 
He also said that Nigeria remained a great country and that it would still be better than it is at the monent. The clergy also urged the citizens to continue to play their parts by loving God and showing love to their neghbours, obey constituted authorities and laws of the land. He prayed for President Bola Tinubu that God would grant him wisdom and good health to direct positively the affairs of the nation.
