Her Grace Iya Aladura General Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye JP and Apostolic Mother Bose Osinowo were installed as the Patroness of the Christian body.

This took place at the 2023 edition of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Inter-Denomination Divine Service (IDDS) held at The Apostolic Church, Lawna Territorial Headquarters, Olorunda Ketu Lagos.

Supt. Ap. Pro. Dr. Adetayo Michael Roberts JP expressed sincere gratitude for the distinction given upon Iya Aladura General - Her Grace Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye JP while receiving the award on her behalf. He however assured the Christian body that the Light of Christianity will continue to shine bright regardless of the various denominations in Christianity, and it is a Lifelong promise of Iya Aladura General to carry the Torch of Christianity to the end of the world.

However, Apostolic Mother Osinowo commended the leadership of the religious body for fighting for the growth of the Church in the state. She urged religious organizations to keep up their prayers and efforts for the maintenance of peace not just in the state but throughout the nation, especially as the country moves toward another round of general elections.

Rt. Rev. S.T.V. Adegbite, Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, praises them for having a selfless, tenacious, and exemplary nature, which makes them more than deserving of such recognition.

The Theme of the program, which was attended by all the Christian blocs in Lagos State to pray for the State and Nigeria was “Peace be Still – Mark 4 vs 39.”

As the event's Special Guest of Honor, Governor SanwoOlu promised that his administration would continue to battle for the underdogs and the oppressed to free people from the chains of poverty. He said: “As your Governor, I cannot pretend that I don't know that things are tough out there, there are many challenges that we all face. I come with a big heart to say to you that I share with my people and that is why we will be going back to Abuja until we do the right thing. We will not stop until we do the proper thing and ensure that our people are broken from the shackles of poverty. We will ensure that anybody that wants to bring us down in this country, God Almighty will not give them the space and the unity that holds us will continue to abide with us.

Adegbite expressed Christian support for the re-election of Governor Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, declaring that "Our decision to pray and support them was not based on sentiments but rather on pragmatic, unassuming, forthright and accommodating leadership styles of Mr. Governor and his team."

In addition, he urged every Lagosian to make sure their Permanent Voter Cards were prepared and to cast their votes on election day for genuine candidates with demonstrable track records and development expertise.
