2027 Elections: Cherubim & Seraphim Church Denies Endorsing Any Presidential Candidate.

Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria (an umbrella body of all Cherubim & Seraphim Churches in Nigeria and the Diaspora) has distanced itself from a publication purporting the endorsement of all white garment Churches of a Candidate of a political party ahead of the forth-coming 2027 general elections.

A faceless group had, last week, released a banner which went viral on social media claiming that the white garment Churches, Church of the Lord and Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) had endorsed a Presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections and mobilising all white garment churches members to vote for the candidate.

A statement issued, on Monday 20th July, 2026 by the Secretary General of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria; Snr. Apostle Tayo Ajose, said that the Church had, at no time, issued any directive to its teeming law-abiding members to vote in any direction and that the general public should disregard the slanderous message.

According Apostle Ajose, "The attention of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has been drawn to a banner that is viral on social media purporting that all white garments Churches had endorsed the candidacy of a presidential contestant in the forth-coming general elections. This banner is, to say the least misleading and sheer propaganda aimed at dragging the church into the murky water of politics. The falsity of the message peddled by the banner was more profound when the sponsors did not even indicate their identity or address of operations".

Apostle Ajose said that the Cherubim & Seraphim Churches; globally-acclaimed white garment Church remained apolitical and has yet to endorse any presidential candidate ahead of the general elections.

He maintained that members of the Church are free to associate with any political party of their choice but they would be duly informed if there is a need to cast their ballot for any particular candidate when it is time of the elections as may be directed by the Ecclesiastical Council.

It continued, "So members of the Church are urged to jettison the message in the banner and go about their normal businesses.

The Church remains resolute and refuses to be dragged into the murky water of politics," the statement said.

The Supreme Head (Olori) of the Unification Church, His Most Eminence Emmanuel Adewale Abiodun Alogbo JPil encourages all members that are yet to collect their PVC to do so in order to empower themselves to carry out their civic responsibility.
