MAKE GIVING YOUR CHARACTER
As Christians, let's live beyond praying for people, let's do more. We are quick to say 'God will provide', 'It is well' and the likes followed by a sermon on faith and how God did it for certain people in the bible. I'm not against encouraging people to lean on God for their provision but please if you have and can spare, don't hesitate!
I know how it feels to be desperately in need, and when I come to you, you begin to tell stories even taking more of my time that I could have used somewhere else and at the end of the day, you are unable to meet my demand. I get that in some cases, the holy spirit may minister to you to talk to the person and that's fine, but after talking, if you have, please give and if you don't have, let them know before you keep them waiting so you won't keep their hopes up.
Let's practise giving, even the bible says God loves a cheerful giver, I'm not saying you should be stupid about it, the same bible says 'love your neighbour as yourself'. Look at the person before you in need and then imagine if you are in their shoes.
