Stepping Out Of Your Comfort Zone Leads To Future Success

Stepping Out Of Your Comfort Zone Leads To Future Success

Who feels comfortable about their current life status? If your answer is yes, then it is time for you to step out of your comfort zone. I know. It seems scary. However, once you take that small step out of your personal bubble, a whole world full of new opportunities and experiences opens up to you. Even if you feel satisfied with your life, I ask you to broaden your horizons by taking a shot at something new. Whether this is a new job, hobby, or adventure, I urge you to shoot for it.

Put your fears and worries aside and explore what life has to offer you. Trust me, it will be worth it. Rather than planting your feet and staying put, take a big step and start a new journey. Would you rather take risks and live a life of joyful, interesting experiences, or would you rather live a life full of regrets while feeling stuck? How you answer that question depends on the type of person you are. However, I hope that you are the person who wants to live their life to its greatest potential.

When I put away my fears and stopped settling, I realized that I can live my life however I want. The only person who controls my life is me. I get to be the hero of my own journey, and so do you. So, the big question that might be spinning in your mind is how do you leave your comfort zone? Well, I am no expert, but I do have a couple of pieces of advice.

First things first, you have to put your fears away. In fact, you have to conquer them. Fears are not an option. It’s good to be cautious and realistic about certain important things, but small fears hold you back. So, get over them.

Second, do not feel satisfied. This certainly sounds greedy, but it’s not when you use it in the right context. You deserve great things. If you have been looking for a sign, this is it. Do it- as long as it is legal and beneficial to you. It is also important to remember that stepping out of your comfort zone doesn’t need to be drastic. Start with small things and then work your way up the things that you have always wanted to do, but just didn’t have the courage to.

For me, I took a step out of my comfort zone by majoring in journalism. I always loved to write and listen to stories, but my shyness got in the way. I couldn’t even read in class because I would get so nervous and stumble over words. However, I now read scripts, interview several diverse people and even report on live cameras. The point of my story is that I stepped out of my comfort zone as a major career decision, and now I realize that I have found my passion in life. The only reason I found my passion was because I gained the courage to do something that I would normally never do, and now I’m so grateful that I made this decision.

I encourage you to take a big stride in another direction. Who knows, maybe you will find your life calling that has been hiding in the shadows of your comfort.
