ENTERTAINERS OR MINISTERS IN THE CHURCH

One cannot deny the fact good music is one of the factors that keeps a church alive. A church without good music could affect her development as good music enhance church growth.
Music makes the heart of the congregation merry, it breaks the fallow ground and prepares the heart to receive God's word in the church. Little wonder many preachers these days set the spirit of God in motion via songs during their ministration.As good as music is, drawing people close to God in worship, it can also be a means of taking people away from God.
I have come to discover that the next most important place in the church after the pulpit, is the choir stand, because whatever comes out of there, has the power to make or mar the congregation.A fast rising trend in the church today is how song ministers are becoming entertainers. They sing out of the abundance of their mouth and not according to the dictates of the Holy Spirit.
Church choir no longer sing to please God, but they rather sing to please the world. we are in an era where we bring lyrics from wordly songs and mix it with songs in the church all in the name of following the trends.The cause of this, I attribute to the fact that many of the song ministers are not genuine born again, many of them have not encountered Christ. Many have good voice, but such carries no weight in the spirit realm.
The anointing of God on many song ministers are been used to entertain and not to minister...

This is a call to every song minister out there, I know this was not how you started, so retrace your step back to HIM that called you..
